I would like to get involved with operations, which would mean getting more involved in people management, recruitment and training.
I would enjoy this, seeing people develop within the company with my help and guidance would bring me tremendous satisfaction. My great grandfather was a bookmaker in Ireland, as were my grandfather and father. Racing is in my blood. This year I was voted on to the regional and national forum, which gave me a chance to represent my colleagues with their concerns regarding our rapidly changing industry. This will take me away from my shop half a dozen times in a year, but I can do that, safe in the knowledge that I'm leaving it in good hands. Away from work I love going racing.
I am a keen Liverpool fan, and with Hull City newly promoted, when we play each other next month it will provide plenty of lively banter in the shop. I keep fit by jogging twice a week slowly and also in my spare time I love to visit my children and their families. If time permits, I sometimes spend time with my husband!
